I just bought the Mitsubishi HSU-778 this summer. It was an impulse buy as I needed a VCR in the bedroom. It's an SVHS Hi Fi VCR with a decent tuner. I've owned a couple Mitsubishi and Sony VCR's over the years and have always felt that Mitsubishi is better built with stronger / faster motor (quicker rewinds or fast forwards). I think I paid something under $250 for the HSU-778... don't recall exactly.
