Just saw on the SONY website that the XBR color tv's have full 2 yr parts and labor. Now I'm doubly glad that I didn't pay for a 3 yr Circuit City warranty.FWIW, I'm talking about the 34" 16:9 XBR crt set. One of the better features in addition to the tube is a 30 watt sound system built-in, which has a mock surround mode that sounds ok.
Definitely worth checking out for someone who wants a nice, reliable tube tv with great picture, great off-axis clarity, and maybe is not going to be hooking it up to a full HT system and can therefore use the built-in sounds to best effect.
