hooking up your DVD player with component out if it eradicates the problem? If you have the Samsung 931 this may not work as in my experience the component out of this machine isn't as good as the component out of other $300 players (for whatever reason).Not many tube TV have perfect alignment out of the box. If you have your TV ISF calibrated you will bring the best out of your TV and at the same time they can solve your initial problem.
