I read a recent aticle on the shortcomings of DVI and how the HDMI interface is starting to appear on many newer products. Unlike DVI, HDMI will not only carry video but also uncompressed multichannel audio eliminating much of the multichannel interconnect clutter we find behind our home theater setups. Supposedly many TV's are now available with HDMI but we're still waiting for most other equipment like AV receivers and DVD players to catch up. I don't regret having bought a TV and DVD player with DVI interface as the picture quality is better than going over the traditional component video interconnects but it appears that HDMI is poised to take over. Your thoughts?
