Re: Best 5 channel processor or receiver for sound quality?

Look into the NAD T163 pre/pro ($1500)on their website. I replaced an Adcom pre/pro with it and the NAD is sweeter and more musical and offers a number of surround modes plus "straight through" stereo. It is very intuitive and user friendly as well. I mated it with the NAD 963 power amp ($ 2000, 140 wpc into 8 or 4 ohms). My all Magnepan system has never sounded better on either music or movies.
