High End 2 channel DVD/CD player recommendations

Hi, I am looking for an excellent one box 2 channel DVD/CD player. I am not interested in paying for multi-channel circuitry that I will never use. I am also not very interested in SACD or DVD-A, but may consider it. The Esoteric DV-50 is getting great reviews, I wish they would make a 2 channel version of it for the US market.
Any recommendations are appreciated.
