I have 27 years experience selling,installing,designing A/V & home theater systems -- I have personally had a dozen of the "better" DVD's in the past 5 years - Right now I have THREE .A Denon DV-5900,ONKYO DV-SP1000 and a Marantz DV8400. Unlike a lot of the audiophiles I have to be honest in saying that they are ALL VERY good. I think in terms of music the Onkyo (believe it or not ) is the best but ALL AROUND performance, value and quality has to go to the Marantz. F.Y.I, the Denon has been back to the repair shop TWICE in 4 months and it is a big disapointment in terms of the sound stage and other audio only performance levels as well the reliability factor
