Thanks to you and everyone for the great comments. Well, visiting the Sony store here in Chicago, I was informed by several of their sales people that the new Sony 900 V or P unit which offers multi channel SACD sound also has a newer chip for video. Apparently video performance is directly related to the chips used. They claim the cheaper 900V has improved video performance. The unit is rather tinny and cheap compared to the 9000ES. There is not indication that Sony is about to come out with a 900ES. Perhaps I should consider the Arcam DV27??
