did you just buy the 1600? if you do not intend on buying dts encoded
dvd's as they are more expensive and don't really show up in rentals you are better of buying a regular dvd player like the pioneer 525.
i don't know off hand how many dvd players there are with BUILT-IN
DTS PROSCESSING. be careful because most of ther players will be capable of PASSING THROUGH DTS signals but not PROSCESSING. add to the higher cost of a dvd with built-in processing three pairs of good interconnect to the receiver.
you might be better off buying the next level of denon like the 2800 with dts and pre-outs for future expansion if you could exchange the 1600. skimping on the receiver now might cost you more later.
