You need to go mail order with some places back in New York (e.g., J&R Music World, 42nd street photo, etc.) and they should have such units. In all likelihood, you'll have to get a fairly expensive unit that does the "world" such as ones made by Panasonic or Samsung. Several of these can freely convert back and forth among formats but not necessarily have tuner capacity. As for using a vcr with the different voltage, this isn't a problem at all (I've got a British vcr multi-system that I use in the US) -- just the problem of matching the video output to the tv that you use here.
