Twice recently I have gone into TV showrooms with a large variety of sets on display, both high end and not so high end.In both cases the one set that stood out from the rest was a 27" Samsung Tantus. (Salesman said they don't make larger unless you move way up to a +40" 16X9 for some huge price) Anyway this Tantus was in
amongst several other sets including Sony Wegas of various sizes. The Wegas looked great but the Tantus simply beat them hands down in picture depth and clarity. Salesman said something about a progressive line doubler having the effect of doubling the resolution provided by the video source, and not just on DVD's but on normal cable TV broadcasts too.
I'm not a techie but I think I know a superior picture when I see one. I would appreciate hearing from anyone with knowledge of this model and whether it really is as good as I thought it was - or were my eyes deceiving me. Your comments are important to me because I'm seriously thinking of making a purchase. Thanks
