Gandalfcrow, the answer is most definately yes. The Arcam AVR100 is the most musical receiver I've ever heard in it's price range. In fact, I had a Marantz SR7000 which I thought was very musical, but when I heard my friends Arcam, I knew I had to sell it and pick up one of these babies. I recommend that you audition one if possible. It doesn't have the highest wattage out there in it's price range, but I feel that it had plenty of power in reserve. It puts out about 90 watts per channel in 2-channel mode, around 70 watts per channel in 5-channel mode. I'm still breaking mine in, but it has already impressed me with it's sound.
