Seems like I just sold my Beta VCR and now I am try to unload two laser players. So I venture forth and purchase a Pioneer DVD 09 and now hear it is being replaced...progressive scan. I purchased a high end cd player and two weeks later they say it is being upgraded. Now I want to purchase a bigger screen TV 50'+ but my wife still feels a 36" tube outperforms any front or rear projection tv. Okay how about a nice Sony Wega 36 XBR for her and for me a projection unit. Perhaps I can accomodate both...a roll down screen. in front of the Sony. Question is what type of projection tv gives the best picture ...front or rear. Why? What can I expect to get for about $6000? I appreciate any comments.
