Hi, not much to work with here, and most likely the reason for no other replies.
Do you know what distance the speakers are *supposed* to be placed from the wall? They'll work at 3"-4", but less than optimal, I'm thinking. Between 12"-24" would be more realistic. You can check this without drilling holes in the wall 1st, by using those stands and wife/friend to move them, while you're at the listening position.
Is ceiling mounted an option? Maybe something like 1/2" water pipe (painted to match walls) with a flange type of ceiling mount, to extend the Omnimounts/whatever, down to the proper level?
Scrap this, if we're dealing with SAF, but throw it at her anyways.
Why did you get rear-ported anyways? Still new? Return option?
