I was a dedicted two channel guy and still thnik that the original Pro Logic is very amusical. But after reading a a Stereophile interview/article on surround sound guru Jim Fosgate, the PL II inventor, I started experimenting. There are actually two PL II codecs, one for movies and one for music but I prefer the music version in all cases.
Incidently, Fosgate's original design used tubes. Now that's something I would love to hear.
