The answer is an unqualified - YES. I bought a Sanyo PLV-Z1 (they're on Z3 now) for about 1k over a year ago, and absolutely enjoy it. There are new projectors both LCD and DLP by Panasonic, BenQ,Sanyo and others that are available now in that price range that outperform my projector on paper by a lot, so I can only imagine how nice the picture on those must be.If you have the room, get one. Price is no longer an issue on screens or projectors.
