the '3 lcd' is a catchy sticker on the set, but i think all lcd's are 3 lcd's... but, that said, the new lines (A10 and A20 series of grand wega) do have some changes. the A10 only comes in 42 and 50", so that's probably too small for you, altho this is the most redesigned of the 2 new models. it has the new iris mechanism to help with black levels. i've seen it beside the mitsu dlp, and i like the sony better, which surprised me. it also is a 720 line chip which works better for scaling than the previous generation of 768 or whatever sony was using. there are some other feature changes, but i'm thinking of buying the 50" A10, unless i go for a 42" flat panel, which are so cheap these days, and would look much nicer in the room, frankly, altho i realize the picture quality is the main point.... i'll have to agonize on that choice a bit longer. especially since i'm lusting for a new camera at the same time!
