for a tutorial on what factors you need to consider when you're trying to decide on what PJs might be right for you. After you read it, you can click on the Find Projectors link on that page to narrow things down.
After that, I'd suggest giving the <$3500 Digital PJ forum at AVS a read so you can see what owners of the PJs you might be interested in are saying. Many PJs with an MSRP of less than $2500 (actual street price would definitely be in your range) are discussed there. At the top of the page there are usually links to AVS sponsor dealers that would be more than willing to help you out with suggestions for a setup for your situation (lens throw, screen size, light output, etc). You may even find that a PJ in the $1k range may be all you really need in your situation.
