I would have had to find a player which accepted digital audio inputs for decoding. I vaguely recall I would have had to step up to a Linn (which introduced other issues) to make it happen.Now I have a pre/pro (used for DD/DTS decoding of satellite (and sometimes DVD), analog MC preamp (switch between pre/pro 6 channel analog output and DVD-A/SACD 6 channel output), multiple sources, and spaghetti wiring.
One of these days I might find a suitable source which will allow me to dump the aging pre/pro. The analog preamp has been much better than my pre/pro performing the preamp audio function so any pre/pro upgrade is going to be hard pressed to justify it's "existence".
