Go to set-up on your HD box and then to one of the pics that has a tab that says "Resolution" thumb up to that tab and select it then make sure your 1080i box is checked.

DirectTV boxes are very sensitive...BTW while your there check out the signal strength....FYI for some reason the HD box signal strength is weaker than the regular box signal strength.

Reg box =90%+
HD box signal strength = 70%s

I asked the Direct TV rep, how in the hell can I get HD with such poor signal strength? Better signal = better picture
