I feel that the best plasmas throw a more holographic and chromatically rich image than even the best CRT's.And from a far more practical POV, the whole issue is essentially moot as CRT's are hardly being manufactured anymore and those that are are typically low end, "budget" affairs.
Face it, CRT's are today's betamax machines.
