I have recently come upon a couple of DVD's that are Dolby Digital but do not have rear channel information. The lights on the front panel of the receiver indicate that only the front channels are active. At first I thought something was wrong with the receiver, but when I put another disc on, everything was back to normal. So I am thinking that these discs, which are movies that are mostly talk and no sound effects, have Dolby Digital but no surround? Is that right? Has anyone else encountered this?
