I am also looking at Blu-ray and HD-DVD players and I am considering getting the Sony SXRD KDS60A2000 TV. I wish I had enough cash for the 60" XBR2 you have but I don't. See my post below on the poor upscaling performance of the Sony Blu-ray player on SD DVDs. That is totally unacceptable. Maybe the second generation player will have a fix for that after CES.
