HDCP: Do I have to worry?

I recently tried to connect my LCD TV to my cable box through the DVI connector. Because my TV is slightly older it didn't work because it wouldn't process HDCP.

I would love to use the DVI connection for a DVD player, but am worried that most modern players will not play through because of copy protection that the TV will not authorize. Are there any DVD players that have DVI/HDMI output without HDCP, or am I stuck with component?
