The $150 Oppo does 480P. So does my TV

Hi,
I appreciate the thought, but if I was to spend that much money, I'd want a universal player. And I am waiting for someone like Oppo to come out with one
that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Right now I am watching Farscape, an old scifi series. The Dutchess of Duke Street, a Masterpiece Theater series from the Seventies. And House.

While Netflix has started carrying hi def dvds... there aren't many, and I am
not sure how much better they are really going to be. By and large, I don't think the answer will be a lot for what I actually watch.

As far as games go, I was at the Mall yesterday. I saw a Need for Speed Carbon for 20 bucks. Maybe when it hits ten bucks.

Never in a million years would I pay game console prices for games. I get one or two expensive games a year as presents. The ones I buy myself are 10 to 25 bucks. I can wait.

I might make an exception Wii at some point.

But that is because I might get the wife to play something with me.
That looks like something she might enjoy.
