RE: Best dvd player for a Mitsu with a EIA-861 HDMI?

That Oppo player ought to work great via HDMI hookup, and if yours is indeed a 480p "Enhanced Definition" TV, it may be all you need right now. Neither Blu-Ray nor HD DVD is likely to give you significantly better quality on a 480p display.

The Nintendo Wii is a blast, and almost anyone should find something to like between Wii Sports, Warioware, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Cooking Mama and any number of brain-training games. (I am a Nintendo Corp shareholder). The free news service, web browser and weather channel are also more enjoyable than I would have expected. Visuals tend to be simple, cheery, but someone really thought things through in depth and it shows. I also own a Sony PS/3: It's a pretty good Blu-Ray player, and a powerful, if clunky and not especially enjoyable, multimedia hub.
