So, does the increased bitrate make a difference? Iffy. This reviewer say at normal distances (8-10'), no. If he sits 2-4 feet from the screen, maybe, but its not definite. Not exactly a resounding endorsement of BD's higher bitrate. The gear used were a 50" and 58" plasma. Take home message? If you own a new 1080p projector, you *might* see a difference, the rest of us won't.
BTW, if you own a Panasonic BD player, you will get no sound. Way to go Blu-Ray! A firmware update should be available this month.
Yea, I'm impressed.
JackEDIT: We'll have to see what someone with one of the newer (1080p) projectors has to say about the two discs.
