Sale days of reckoning? The HD-DVD player price dropping super sale smoke has cleared, and the results have been analyzed; the conclusion: half a million players were apparently sold! - (WOW!) - Of course it remains to be seen which HD titles will be big sellers over the holidays and how sales will compare with popular titles also released or only released only on Blu-ray, but you can rest assured that these new player purchases will impact high definition format disc sales over time.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that Deep Discount has temporarily sold out of most if not all HD titles in it's semi-annual super sale? You can still purchase them at the 20% off discount on already discounted prices, but they're back-ordered! Something is apparently going on in regard to an increased HD sales; it would be interesting to know how many units of high definition titles are actually moving.
