I'm watching the SD/Tenn playoff game and it occurred to me that football, and other sports too, should be broadcast in surround sound.
The announcers comes out of the center.
Crowd noise comes out the rear left and right so you feel like you're sitting in the stands.
Player noise could out of all speakers unless they found a sophisticated way to mike the field to make it more directional then place it where it is on the field.
