The commentary by some of the announcers is so dreadful that I often turn it of. This is especially true of Monday Night Football, which I often find offensive. Rather than sit there in silence, it would be nice if one had the option of having all the crowd noise, but no commentary. With HD TV you can see so well what is happening you don't even need those guys stroking their own egos anymore.
