.......I have hundreds of DVD’s and I don’t want to replace them until HD discs are plentiful and then only if they are far better than the DVD’s.Also, nearly as important as the screen is a decent DVD player. I have a 55†plasma that can do 1080i (not 1080p) and with my top-of-the-line pioneer (216MHz chip) most DVD’s look brilliant. However, when I hook up a DVD player with a 54MHz chip the picture is only “okâ€. I am thinking of getting the new Denon DVD 3930 as my next purchase for my HT rig. I do have my eye on a 65†1080p plasma but I feel it won’t be too long before the price drops substantially on it.
