While back home last week, I engaged in a flurry of DVD movie watching(inbetween high end audio sessions) and in the middle of watching something, my 6 month old SONY 32XBR48 picture went black. Hmmmmmmm......the Standby light was flashing......power off, unplug....wait...........nothing! audio still works but no picture. Service was needed, so I called SONY, they verified that there is no way for an owner to recover from this scenario. Good thing I bought the extra warranty coverage, I'd been burned by Trinitrons of the past but I still love the picture quality. Too bad they aren't reliable. grrrrrrrr.....!
