That is not going to work.
***Do I need some sort of transformer?Radio Shack used to sell a modulator - that's what you need, perhaps they still do. Was not expensive - about $10, I think.
***Or am I out of luck until I buy my 32" Toshiba with component video inputs? Any advice would be appreciated!
A modulator will give you the picture, so you will be able to watch it, albeit not at the component video quality level. Without any questions the new TV will work better.
