Agreed.

I have an older PJ with an 84" screen. Even at that, with a DVD playing the picture is stunning to me. Would it be better with HD/Blu-ray, sure. Do I care (?), not overly. And in general I am a fan (although 2-channel audio is where I spend most of my money). When the bulb dies on my Infocus X1 I'll get an HD PJ (and I guess a Blu-ray player), until then I'm fine. And I have MANY hours left on my supposed 4000 hour bulb.
Now put Joe the average consumer in the mix with a screen 1/4 that size (like a 42" as you noted), and how much benefit will they see?
