Nope.. no 720p though it WILL accept 1080i over DVI

I just browsed over the manual so you might be in luck. Just make sure the Blu-ray player is set to 1080i though the HDMI/DVI handshaking might automatically be set to 1080i. You will need an HDMI to DVI adapter and you will have to use coax/optical/analog to get the audio out.

The last build on this model was Jan '06 which looks like it was the Mitsu model available at the time you bought it.
