I have the Rat and POTC. They are both GREAT discs. "Cars" is spectacular, too. So 3D. Those Pixar folks! (Keep 'em comin', Mr Lasseter!) I didn't know about the set-up stuff. I'll have to look at that. Thanks! (We just normally throw the disc in and immediately watch.)
I have some 'environment' HD discs with various places and settings that are okay demo discs, and the 'Planet Earth' stuff is good, too. What about those HD Essentials discs? Are those good for evaluations, too? I don't have those. I guess I'm looking for one disc that does it all, but I was somewhat disappointed with a DVD set-up disc I bought years ago, so I'm gun shy a little on those. Maybe they are great. I figured there would be color patterns and various 'challenging' tracks that give lots of info from their use, but it was weird and fairly useless. So, other than that HD Essentials-type disc I mentioned, I honestly have no idea what's out there currently, and if it is good for such purposes. Thus, this request for info.
Thanks again for your post! It was very appreciated.

BTW: Was, "No Country For Old Men" really good? How violent is it? I've got a very sweet 13 year old son, so he's old enough for a lot of stuff, but if it is really gnarly, gosh, I'm not sure we want him to see it (We always watch movies together as a family.) Mostly we're into family and Disney and nature and sweet movies and comedies. Big time nature vid lovers. Do you think such a flick as "No Country" is appropriate for a kid like this? I don't know much about the movie, other than I believe it won best picture and is pretty violent. We especially disdain violence against women. But shoot outs and explosions and stuff like that, okay. I mean, we're at war, for heaven's sake. But nasty torture and really ugly, sadistic stuff, that's just not our cup of tea. I'm not knocking that type of genre. To each his own. It's just about our son. That's all. TIA for any guidance.
