Yes, for that set you will have a hard time finding a good price anywhere around here. I decided to go with a Panasonic because I liked the picture and the price, and I felt that the technology was advancing at a high rate while prices were steadily dropping; you could get much more for less as time went buy. So I jumped in at $2300 and am extremely happy with the quality of the set. In a few years, if the upgrade fever hits me, I will be able to get a lot more for my money and meanwhile am enjoying an HD picture that is almost invariably only limited in quality by the source, not the set. But it's all a matter of deciding what course you want to take, a personal choice.
