RE: What is the difference between HD ready and Full HD TV ? nt

A HD ready TV has a high def screen and a standard def tuner. It accepts high def input from external sources so you can use a high def settop box or PVR to get high def TV. The screen resolution may be 720p, 768p, or 1080i or p.

A Full HD TV will have a 1080p display and include a high definition tuner so you don't need an add on tuner but you will end up getting one anyway if you use a high def PVR.
