I buy Blu-Rays -AND- I download. High Def downloads are excellent and much better than DVD.
I've been downloading rental HD movies to my TiVO from Netflix and Amazon and the quality is excellent.
I'll typically rent average movies and never buy them and just buy the great ones upfront w/o wasting money on the rental. In any case, downloaded HD flicks are pretty sharp these days.
