Unlike Planet Earth, where the UK BBC BD release is the superior version to get (5 discs, compared to our 4 discs) and costs less too, the UK BBC release of Life is apparently 1080i/50 so no advantage there. Hard to believe it's not 1080p/24, but that's what people are saying. At least it's got lossless audio this time. (Also, it may not play on your North American BD player as many do not handle 50Hz stuff; most Sonys don't for instance, but Oppos do, those are the only types I have to test on.)Definitely in for the Attenborough version of Life. Probably when the price drops though, possibly late fall, I am already way behind in my BD watching of stuff I've already bought and nicer weather doesn't help me catch up...
