I've never had a disc rental or streaming service yet. But I do understand what they are doing. It is definitely cheaper for them to stream it vs. mail it. They don't have to worry about losses from lost discs. They don't need to track down discs or keep track of where they are. Shipping costs I'm sure over time and associated expenses (i.e. labor), I'm sure have also gone up.
