This is an embarrassing post to make. I bought a new Panasonic 42S30 plasma for the bedroom. I ordered it online, but did not ship it to my home address. Driving the TV home, the glass screen shattered. It will not even turn on. I have assumed this is a total loss. Is there anything I can do with this unused TV, other than dispose of it?
My experience with Panasonic plasmas had been primarily with a professional model which is virtually indestructible. I was shocked that the TV shattered while driving it home.
I consider it an expensive lesson. I would salvage parts from the thing, for potential repair or mods, but honestly don't want to look at another Panny plasma.
