It might be different there but I find if you have some negotiation skills then a local retailer will price-match or close to it.
I have several flat panel screens and all were bought locally.
Yes, I found the best price online and then went into sea a local retailer.
The retailer has the choice to make a sale or pass. They choose to make the sale.
Also, I use the retailers own delivery people because then there is no issues with potential breakages. (They deliver it and unpack it – it is worth it for peace of mind)
I suggest if you are the type who stresses or will stress if the mail order goes bad (damage) you should try to get a local retailer to price-match or weigh up the difference in price.
If you have a good price from online then get the cash and go into a local store, if they carry the make and model, and make the sale there and then at the price you want. (They can only say yes or no)
