...use the remote control for the cable box to lower volume/mute the cable box for loud commercials? I realize that won't help you with blu-ray, but for that you can always just hit the pause button on the Sony's remote in lieu of a mute button.If you just want to sit on your sofa with one remote to control the whole thing, an audio switch box isn't the answer - a new receiver and universal remote is the answer.
