Re: Should a subwoofer be on a stand?

I did the meter work, and the sub seems to (finally) be in a good location. It's currently connected with Wireworld Terra, which sounds pretty good, though it's the only sub cable I've tried. Opinions on this cable would be welcomed.

This sub will not accept spikes. It has 4 plastic feet. The tweak I read about suggested attaching spikes to an MDF platform, then put the sub on top of it with some Blue Tack to help anchor it. It's a cheap thing to try, so I may give it a go unless someone here has had bad luck with this tweak. Opinions?
