For the past 2 years I have been eyeing up the HDTV ready sets with the hope that the flat plasma screens will drop in price. It appears that will happen in a geologic timeframe which means I can't wait that long. I am seriously considering the Mistubishi HDTV line(WS55807, WS55857, & the Diamond series) in the 55" size and the Pioneer Elite in the 53" size, all RPTVs. The Mitsubishi's appear equivalent in quality when viewing straight on to the more expensive Pioneer but there appears to be an advantage in the Elite when viewing at a progressively wider angle from the direct(orthogonal) view. Can others confirm this advantage and what other features distinguish these product lines? Mahalo for your answers.
