DVD picture quality

I need recommendations for a DVD player with progressive scan that has top notch picture quality and disc tracking ability. I don't want to break the bank (> $1000) and I am not overly concerned with sound quality since I do my music listening on vinyl and Super Audio CD. It would be used strictly for movie viewing with a low end HT audio system. Thanks.
