I used 50' of standard Video cable(Radio Shack has it in 25' lengths. For 50', you must use two 25' with couplers.) to go from my computer's video card to my television's(HT receiver first)composite input. I never had any problems. I tried 25' also. I didn't see any real differences between 25' and 50', but I was sending standard IE4.0 to my television so I could save some images to VHS. That's not a real performance picture to use for referencing.So the actual chain of 50' video cable went to my receiver's video composite connection, then the receiver fed it to my television and my VCR, for taping.
I was using a 50' length as a permanent connection to my receiver. I strung the 25' across my living room floor as a temporary solution.
