with DPLII machines just coming out in th April/May, i would wait a bit. I have my eye on the new Onkyo 696, which is DPLII compatible, has component video switching, 5.1 preouts and inputs, and is going to retail list for 799 i believe. probably can pick up from JandR for 650 in a few weeks.

Also, the AVR-100 is great at music, but for movies it is really sub-par. Every published review has said so (see new HT for latest). Also, the bass management is not up to par with others, and it is quite expensive considering an Onkyo 787 and Denon 3801 cost 400 less, but have much more standard. I think the reason for this, is that Arcam has never ventured into HT, and left out some really important things because of their lack of experience.
