On a number of occassions, when there is a partcularly loud passage in a movie (explosion, gunshot, etc.), my receiver shuts itself off. I believe the protection circuit is the cause as I have to power up the receiver and lower the volume before being able to continue watching the movie. I think the 992 is 80W x 5; should be enough to handle loud peaks. Anyone have a guess as to why the receiver keeps activating it's circuit protection?
